Mohammed El Majdoubi Ph.D.

Marin Science Seminar Presentation: “Stem Cell Research: New Hope from the Laboratory to the Bedside” This lecture will review basic information about stem cells and the promise of stem cell research in human health. (May 28, 2008)

Dr. El Majdoubi holds a BS in Physiology, a MS and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience & Pharmacology from the University of Bordeaux, France. Dr. Majdoubi worked at the University of Pittsburgh as a Research Associate and in 2000, he joined the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) as a Visiting Scholar, then as an Assistant Research Endocrinologist and director of the Morphology and Cell Imaging Core in the Center for Reproductive Sciences. Dr. Majdoubi is currently Assistant Professor of Biology at the Dominican University of California. His current research is focused on mouse embryonic stem cells as an in vitro model of the differentiation and development of hormone-secreting neurons.
